EU EDITION - TISSUE ENGINEERING: FOUNDATIONS AND APPLICATIONS MASTERCLASS
22-23 OCTOBER, 2025
KEY COMPONENTS OF TISSUE ENGINEERING
ONLINE MASTERCLASS | 22-23 OCTOBER, 2025
Starting time: BST 13:00 p.m.
Overview
Tissue engineering is a rapidly evolving field at the intersection of biology, engineering, and material science, with the main goal of developing functional tissue substitutes for clinical and research applications. This Master Class will provide a comprehensive overview of the key components of tissue engineering, including cells, biomaterials, and fabrication techniques. Participants will gain insights into the use of primary cells, stem cells, and cell lines, as well as an understanding of scaffold-based and scaffold-free approaches such as bioprinting and organoids. The programme will also explore methods for stimulating tissue constructs using growth factors, mechanical forces, and advanced technologies like bioreactors and microfluidics. Looking forward, the course will examine cutting-edge developments such as organ-on-a-chip systems, 4D bioprinting, and the application of tissue engineering in fields like regenerative medicine, drug testing, and even the food industry
